| Subject: | RunDialog for Vision Guide hangs or dialog title bars flash |
Symptoms
When RunDialog is executed to display the
Vision Guide dialog, the dialog is not completely initialized and your
application hangs. Or when displaying other dialogs, the title bar
flashes.
Causes
This
is due to a setting in Windows XP that by default prevents background
applications from taking focus.
Remedy
To fix the problem, set the value for
the following registry setting to 0: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout
Then, reboot Windows.
