A Little
History
The EPSON Factory
Automation Division is one of the many product divisions within the
multi-billion dollar Seiko Epson Corporation famous for our highly successful
Printers, Scanners, Projectors and many other consumer and industrial products.
EPSON first came to the North and South American market back in 1984 as the
EPSON Factory Automation group began to share it's expertise in high precision
small parts assembly with other manufacturers on a worldwide basis. Originally
created to support internal automation needs, EPSON Robots quickly became
popular in many of the top manufacturing sites throughout the world. Over the
past nearly 20 years EPSON Robots have been distributed through a couple of
different external sales organizations including most recently Seiko
Instruments USA. In 2001 EPSON America took over the sales, marketing and
development activities previously handled by Seiko Instruments so as to offer a
more focused global strategy for our EPSON Robots product line to help benefit
the global manufacturing strategies put in place by many of the top worldwide
manufacturers. Since coming to EPSON America and in just over a year during a
particularly tough economic time, EPSON Robots has introduced a variety of new
products including everything from new versions of our already popular PC based
controls to our latest SCARA Robot offering the E2 SCARA Robots and even more
new products are on there way shortly.
Our
Products
EPSON
Robots are well known for leading the industry in ease of use,
performance and reliability. Our RC520 Controller was one of the first
PC based controllers introduced by a
robot manufacturer and we were the first to offer Active X Controls to allow
easy integration of 3rd party products into robot workcells. Our focus has been
to keep things simple and easy to use and just one demo of our EPSON RC+
Software shows we are on the right track. Our SCARA robots are 2nd to none in
terms of performance and reliability due to our never ending push to build and
offer next generation products. Most recently we improved on our RC520 PC Based
Controller and introduced a smaller less expensive PC Based Controller called
the RC420 for those customers that have size limitations or don't need the full
expandability of the RC520 controller. We also recently introduced our
E2 SCARA robots that have over 34 models
available including table top, Multi-Mount, and Clean/ESD versions. On top of
that, we also have lots of integrated optional products such as Vision
Guidance, Force Sensing, Security/Audit Log and of course our Active X controls
along with others.
Our Commitment to Top
Quality Support
While one aspect of
our company culture is certainly related to continuing to make the best
products in the industry even better, we are even more committed to making sure
our customers get top notch support before during and after each and every
sale. This kind of support and care is well known throughout our customer base
and not only brings them back with repeat orders but also leaves them "raving"
about the level of extra effort and willingness to help that was offered. We
call these customers "raving fans" and our goal is to make each and every one
of our customers a raving fan. Let us help you with your automation problems
and at the same time create a new "raving fan". Whether your are an existing
customer with a technical question or a potential new customer with a
manufacturing task give us a call and let us help.
